ANNOUNCING THE VISIT OF THE MADRES DE PLAZA DE MAYO TO THE US - JANUARY 20-30, 2007

Community Development Partners For The Americas (CDPA: CDPA@cdpa-americas.org) is honored to bring to the US, the President of the Madres of Plaza de Mayo, Ms. Hebe de Bonafini. Hebe, accompanied by other members of the Association, will visit the US for the purpose of speaking at colleges and schools and to meet American human rights and social justice activists. The visit is scheduled for January 20-30, 2007. CDPA also expects to use the visit, likely the last ever for Hebe, as a means to raise much needed funds on behalf of the Madres.
If you would like to schedule a visit of the Madres to your school, please write to us very soon at CDPA@cdpa-americas.org or call us at 914-833-7787, cell 914-439-7731. As part of the Madres' appearance, we will need the assistance of student volunteers to help organize different events on campus. The Madres desperately need to raise funds to insure the continuation of their struggle for human rights and social justice during this time of change throughout the continent. We need volunteers to establish organizing committees to schedule and coordinate all the reception activities on campus. It is important that the academic and the general public be made aware of the issues, the history and the philosophy of the Madres and that in that context we help to insure the survival of the organization and its many projects.
Please review, fill and submit to us the following application:
Thank you!
